Albert and Eleanor

Albert and Eleanor live in Elk Grove California.  Their commitment to each other, their church and their neighbors has made them certain that they wanted to live in their own home as long as possible.  When Albert had a stroke a few years ago the church members and his neighbors all jumped-in to help.  Albert had to use a walker to get around, but other than that things were not that different than before.

Everything changed when Eleanor began having trouble remembering her friends. She was putting things in strange places and then forgetting where they were. Their daughter decided that her parents could not stay at home alone without professional home care.

They all met with the Geriatric Care Manager and started home care services with ALL FOR YOU HOME CARE.  They wanted to keep the costs low, so they started with 8 hours/day.  They started with food preparation, laundry, medication reminders, exercises, and mind stimulating activities. Only later would they need to add bathing, grooming, continence care, feeding. Slowly over time they increased the caregiver hours. The incremental increase helped them keep the costs less than if they had moved to the facility that their daughter had considered for them.

Albert says,
“ I love my caregivers.  They are part of my family.  These guys (ALL FOR YOU HOME CARE) really know how to do things.  Everyone should know about them.  I tell all of my friends to go to them.”
